I was thinking in bed last night that it would be interesting to see a comparison between the different head options available for the A-Series. Not just comparing power, but ease of fitment, cost etc.

But then I thought, what alternative heads have been fitted to the A-Series. I reckon more alternative heads must have been fitted to the A-Series than any other engine, ever, ever.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but here is a list off the top of my head:-

1) KAD 16V
2) K100/1100/1200 BMW
3) SC CNC 7-Port
4) AKM/Minisport 7-Port (iron)
5) Pierce 7-Port (alloy)
6) Pierce 5-Port (alloy)
7) Arden 8-Port
8) Westlake 8-Port
9) Jack Knight 16V
10) Speedwell 7-Port
11) Fiat 16v head (not sure how far Robert has got with this though)

Must be loads more, please add to the list, must be able to get to 20.
