Ole Rytter, in '66-'68, made the first alloy 7 port heads, which were the brainchild of Erik Hoejer's race mechanic Poul Heickendorff. The heads which later became the base for the iron copys by AKM (and then MiniSport). Only 2 sets know to exist. But they should be mentioned in this list! :)

Feel free to remove head if you think it's unsuitable for this list. I saw and took some pictures of it at the MPH show back in Nov.

James I think you might of seen the coldwell head. It looks very similar to the jag head.

gorden allen had 2/3 of a jag head on a specially cast block, That could be what you saw?

That is very interesting, but it's not an A-series engine, just the gearbox.

great info, that gordon allen engine is great, so unique. its says its a custom casting and it has 5 mains, also is that a normal mini flywheel cover/wok?

I have seen a Coventry Climax, a Ford Crossflow, and the above.

Alternative that might be tried one day is a Renault 1,2 16V as seen on the TCE 100.

I have one under the bench but god only knows when I am gonna get round to fit it ...
