My neighbour has a 998 Auto which ive been working on, he is having intermittent running issues where the car conks out but will re-start straight away or he can leave it for a while to coast and it wll pickup again

Auto-specific bit - Check the ignition inhibitor is setup correctly and the wires/connectors for it are in good clean condition. Metric is for people who can't do fractions. |

The only auto electrical bit is the "wont allow it to start" contact on the gear selector, but im not sure that it would make the car stop running?

alex, whats the ignition inhibitor? will check the book of lies to see if its in there, Al it turns over although a bit slowly for my liking so was going to change the oil, any suggestions on that as 20W50 is too thick for autos?
