Just looking at this diagram of the old rear subframe regulator, am I correct in thinking that a stronger spring in the valve will reduce the rear braking? as its harder to push open?
I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

thats how i see it, a stronger spring should reduce the brake's bias at the rear. not as easy to use unless you can make a screw cap like this, no doubt much cheaper though!

I just got a Wilwood 260-8419 proportioning valve from the US for £37.30 inc delivery. It makes it less and less worthwhile messing with existing kit when you can get a good quality adjustable one for such little money. |

agreed but its not for my car, he has a new valve but the rears are locking up first. We are going to try the 1275 GT 1/2 Rear Wheel Cylinder, however if they are still locking up we can try modding the valve to reduce the rear bias. I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

I'll let you know! I can always fit it after the existing regulator if that happens. |

Does it matter if these are mounted horizontally or vertically? I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

I can't see how it would make any difference how it was mounted. :) Edited by george91 on 21st Mar, 2011. |

P.S the picture is balls. the plunger has a slot cut in it so the stronger pressure doesn't shut it off the plunger seems to seal as shown as rubber seal so you need a lighter spring to shut the valve off with less pressure I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
