Hoping to fit a rear harness bar and a pair of 4 point harnesses as follows;

I've read somewhere about having no more than a 20% angle on the straps that pass over your shoulders, so the harness bar should cover that.

But as for the lap straps, are they okay to be fixed with eye bolts like below?

Just because there is a photo on the internet doesn't mean it's the proper way to do things, just checking before I go ahead and buy certain bits.

The harness bar photo is just an example, that's obviously for a 3 point harness, but it's the same principle.

& the eye bolts I'm talking about in the second photo are the front bolts in the tunnel and inner sill.

When I fixed mine, I fixed the lap ones there & the shoulder ones to the rear seat belt mounts and they seemed ok.

The sholder straps should be no more than 45 deg to the horizontal, but the smaller the angle the better.

The lap belts should also be at 45 deg. I have used the front mounts before, but you need to check the angle. It all depends on how far back your seat is.

I have just purchased a 3 point harness bar like the one in the first picture but of his other design that bolts between the arches for those of us that already have a cage fitted.

quality looks brilliant, hope to fit it over the weekend.
