Now I've heard of high power engines (non A series and normally alloy blocks) having chrome moly sleeves to make the engine stronger ie: for high turbo boost and nitro ?
Now what are any ideas on sleeving an A series engine, prurely for strengthening in reference to high boost or nitro ?
*surprised*

The block is not the problem on an A series engine. However liners tend to cope with wear a little better, in my experience.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

The problem with liners on an A-series is that they need to be collared, so that there is no "block" between the sleeves on the face of the block. I've done it both ways and have learnt my lesson.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.
