Hi,

just got the engine back together for the second time
everything is working like expected :) but i can not select a gear when the engine is running.

I converted to a pre-verto and everything is new.
I bled the system and when you just touch the clutchpedal you see the arm moving so no air inside.
I bought a fancy clutch arm incl throwout plunger from Minispares so no play there.

Everything is set like in the manual. The one thing i find strange is the small travel that the plunger is making. It is moving about 1 mm?????

I also mounted a lighter flywheel with new backplate. Perhapse i did something wrong but i can not find the fault.

PS: i did drive it for the first time in 1 year and damm it's fast*happy*. Only firts gear....... and reverse

there is nothing wrong with a A-series that a turbo can't fix.

maybe the haynes book adjustment doesn't apply to the arm..

When you say 1mm how much is the arm moving to get that. I have a clutch cylinder failing and the arm moved less ans less until it wouldn't engage the clutch

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

I started again and looked at the plunger. *Nerd* I rotated 180 degrees and presto i have a clutch. *Clapping*
I put i in but did no notice that it could be put in the wrong way. So in the end a simple fix.
