wanting to change my 21251's for something more up to the power, i'm a 1293 with a stg2 MED head with 27cc chambers, looking at running about 10psi - whats a good mid-range set of pistons to handle this sort of power and what sort of dish?

i'm using 21253's with an 11cc dish machined in em, with a morspeed st2 head 29cc chambers, doodmeister worked my CR out to about 8:1, i'm running 10psi aswell.

just took me engine apart today for the box rebuild and it looks a lot better than the last time i had to open it up *happy* no melted pistons...lol

from what i can tell the only differnces between 21251's and 21253's is the dish. I'm not planning on a 7000rpm screamer so i can assume from your experiences with the 53's that mine shouldnt melt on everyday driving below 5000 rpm.

I hope!

well just have a look at them in the "cleaning pistons" thread, thats after 3k miles at 10psi, seem to be fine to me but i'm popping over to doodmeisters this week just so he can pop the pistons out to check the rings over for me.
