I'm getting some braided hoses made up for my fiesta brake conversion and the guy making 'em needs to know length.
Anyone around know the length of hose from caliper to subframe? Or the length best to get made up? Or should I stop being lazy and go out and measure... answers on a postcard.

TIA

Wont the standard hose work? I tried the standard hoses on Rover 100 calipers and Pug 205 Bendix calipers, and the fit in the holes

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Sadly not, the thread that goes into the caliper is only slightly wrong so it slowly leaks fluid.

And cheers Joe, I'll let him know.
He's making them up for me tomorrow so I should have 'em fitted by tomorrow night then it's wheels and tyres next up. Got 'em both, just need to paint one and merge them together.

I think mine were 320mm

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

I'll go with 320... should be long enough without being too long.

Sod it, I'll make a decision and contact him in the morning, I suppose I should head out to the car and see which looks right.

Thanks for all the help btw.

Be careful, the Mini stuff is 3/8 UNF, the Peugeot for definite is 10x1mm

As you have found these are very close and will screw in to each other, but are a baggy fit.

To do it right you need to get the caliper ends in 10x1, easy enough if using banjo ends as you can just swap the bolt from 3/8 UNF to 10x1.

i think the goodridge front hoses i have are roughly 270-280mm in length, dont think theyre quite 300mm, theyre about an inch longer than rubber hoses though

Well Martin at MRA minis made me an open ended one up and I've gone for 250mm, should be the right length, long enough to reach at full lock and short enough not to cause any issues.
Will be getting a pair made up tomorrow.
