One for Alex really unless anyone has found an easy way of doing this.....

Basically, is there an easy way of searching within your own PMs for a specific title, or word within the message (or even user ID) like the search facility allows on the forum sections.

If not, is there a way of dumping all your own PMs into a single text file (to allow a simple word search outside the forum, ie in MS Word etc.)

Searching the user ID or title is easy, just press 'F3' or 'Ctrl F' and you get the browser's built in search function.

Excellent Andy, I hadn't thought about that but I really need to search for specific text within the PMs.

Nothing sinister, it will just save me writing whole blocks of text up again and possibly saying something slightly different to last time.....

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

I suppose so - it's not top priority though - this is the first time it's been asked for in 8 years of TM..

I'll see what I can do! *wink*

My fault - I was just looking for a simple way to extract all the text I have written on PMs - it was frightening to see how many I had when I went to search this morning. :)
