I'm looking for a standard weight non verto flywheel.

Built an engine with a 286 cam and big valve head but want to smooth it out a bit with a normal weight flywheel.

Already have a grey diaphram and uprated clutch for a non verto flywheel.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

with a 286 cam i recommend a ultralight flywheel, because it will massivley help to spin the engine up very quickley and with you fitting a 286 cam the engine doesent have to overcome the short timing figures and lift on tickover.

dont forget to get the whole rotating assembley ballanced!

I have a standard one. It was originally from an Austin 1300 GT (not mini) so had a load of counter balance on it. Fast Carl turned that of for me and it's been used in the van since. Looking for £20 plus post.

I see you point.
But then to try to keep the low idle and smooth out the bottom end power, surley a heavy reciprocating mass helps.
This is strictly a road car, already have a racer.
The power remains the same whatever flywheel is fitted.
So have decided to go standard to make it a little easier for normal driving.

i agree with benross, a lighter flywheel with this cam, i think you will find you will notice the cam even more with a heavier flywheel, just my opinion
