Hi guys, just brought a metro turbo engine off ebay a couple days ago and started stripping it today and discovered it had a Avonbar head with 27.5 chambers and kent vernier duplex, then took the cam out to see what it had stamped but i cant identify what one it is. is it a custom cam?

Interesting,

If youve got a vernier measure the base circle and then the lobe to get an accurate lift measurement,

I "suspect" that it could be the leyland AEG597 inlet profile (997 cooper/ MG metro) and the Piper 285/2 exhaust profile, that would be a good turbo profile, sort of halfway to a phase 2...

Failing that call Stuart Gurr at Vmax, he was probably working at Avonbar around that time.
