Evening all,

Before you panic i know its got to go on the inlet manifold after the butterfly (but my first question is this also true of the boost gauge? :$ )

also on the alloy manifold i uncovered on exploring my shed has a tap already drilled into it. But it is only on one side of the manifold just before the left port if you was looking straight at the engine in the car. Iis this OK to use as the take off or does it need to be more central on the manifold. My thinking was that it would be or an incorrect ready may occur with the differences across the manifold but i was unsure if I was thinking bollocks.

Cheers
Arran

Anywhere on the manifold will be fine. Especially with the accuracy of boost gauges.

Remember that even an idle speed of 1000 rpm equtates to 16.xxx revolutions per SECOND- the speed of pulses in the manifold even at idle is so fast that any typical gauge or sensor cannot react quickly enough to show any difference to the naked eye or even to an ECU.

From reading other posts I wouldn't use this point for all 3, use it for the MJ and gauge and a seperate take off for the DV, I use a small carb spacer with take off for this.
