Hi all

Im designing a bracket up to mount my EDIS coil onto the transfer case on the engine, i forgot to measure mine at the weekend, could someone measure the pitch and size of the holes for me on the transfer case?

And also the amount of material to the left where it is machined square as i will make that into a locating feature.

Im going to make it from Nylon first to try out the design, and then make it from a more heat resistant material, so if anyone wants one let me know.

Cheers

I've not but 10 mins ago done this myself for the same reason. I got 66mm between hole centres and a 1/4" UNC thread.

Agree with the 66mm (presumably actually 2 5/8") but my threads are 5/16" UNC, not 1/4"

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

Not long put my coil in that place, for some reason mines been tapped out to metric thread, because i tried a 5/16 unc bolt in there which i presumed was correct and it wouldnt go in, then tried an m6 i think and it went in after id run a tap in to get the swarf and rubbish out the threads

which side of the transfer case does it over hang? if it's the engine side it may catch the block.

My S.C. one has the mounting holes in the middle.

it overhangs the wok cover, i didnt want to make it like the SC one and the way i have pipes from the remote oil cooler to the front of the engine means this was the best option. Its in the machine being built now so hopefully monday i can take photo of the real item

Got the bracket out of the machine and trial fitted it on the engie, the mounting holes need to be taken out about 20thou for clearance but it should work.

Will get some long M5 bolts to attach the coil and see how it fairs with a test drive!

Looks really good

Polished alloy or stainless would be fantastic
