Hi

Probably a really simple answer but i cant find it through searching....or at least what i have been searching

i just tried putting my turbo on my manifold and it appears that the studs i have are to long M8x45mm. i was just wondering what people used for there turbos to connect it to the manifold as i think i might require M8x35mm but that still may seem tight on and may just clear the exhaust side of the turbo.

Regards

T

Liberal use of a hacksaw could cure the problem.

Its a similar problem fitting the GT17 to the Metro manifold (and other issues)

All I had to do was shorten one stud a little, another one quite a bit and to stroke the cast iron casting with my trusty angle grinder in a couple of places.

I now await all the posts telling me I shouldn,t have done that.

Dave, you shouldn't have done that *wink*

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

I did the same as above when fitting the GT17.

There's an area that needs thinning to allow a nut to fit as it was intended to take a stud.

In the 13's at last!.. Just
