Correct tree the police, quiet long road wanted to go to sleep cought by a radar gun, will be going to court. Not big not clever and i deff feel like a twat, as they say you get what you deserve and thats most likely a ban Drives

Get yourself on pepipoo.com and I would also suggest you get yourself a solicitor if its going to court. May cost you a few quid but if it saves you a ban then well worth it.

If it was double the limit or triple figures then its a ban no excuses :/ but also radar guns are inaccurate for this reason I was told they minus 9 mph or something to that degree. So if you were on the ban limit then you might just be lucky. Also if its handheld ask for them to produce the calibration report for that day its a longshot but if it wasn't done your home free. do you drive for a living? If you do you CAN run over 12 points, if its a one off. you plead "its your living" and you'll need charactor whitnesses, and a very sorry face in court. you'll get a hefty fine a slap on the wrist and one last chance. On 7th Nov, 2011 apbellamy said:

It's unlucky and at that time I'm sure there wasn't too many people about.. But 63 in a 30 is just stupid. |

I know its very stupid but you know what its like sometimes a long compleatly quiet road and you want to get home, doesnt help that some of that road is 40mph. i admitted i had no idea what speed i was doing. Tbh thinking of offering forward to do some cominity service but not sure if that would help me.

63 in a 30 might not be smart but I see people do that all the time. Trust me, I pull out of my house into a 30 zone and the number of times I have almost been hit by someone doing 60+, there must be a lot of people getting bans then. On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:

A lad I used to work with when I had just left school got caught exceeding 60 in a 30 through the town centre on his lunch break from college, he got our boss to write him a letter explaining he was a great mechanic and needed to keep his license for his job in the future... Got off with 3 points and a £60 fine and no doubt he was speeding again as soon as he left the court Jack Jones |

It's because of twats like this that I've got to make my way over 9 speed humps just to get to the main road in the morning.

Im just going to speak to a few soliciters to seenif they could help or not then go from there. It was 63 in a 30, 3lanes 1xbus lane on the left i was in the middle late with the oncoming traffic to my right. 10:45 at night on a thursday. Also it was the new raydar gun accruet to +- 0.9mph... Is it properly marked up as a 30 etc ? Unless the speed was posing a danger, then I certainly dont agree "you get what you deserve" Having recently been crashed into at traffic lights, and the police didnt give a fuck. It absolutely infuriates me when I hear or see the police targetting motorists who have committed no harm to anyone, yet the police are fining them or giving them points, or court etc When I phoned to report someone crashed into me, they didnt even want to know where it was, what happened, anything !!! So the police actively hunt down motorists who cause no harm to anyone, yet they feel a motorist who has actually crashed and destroyed anothers car, is safe enough not to warrant their attention ? 9.85 @ 145mph

To fucking right! some chavs kicked off my minis wing mirror and dented and scratched the mini. (i have an idea who it was) i told the police and they did nothing and never got back to me. I have 3 points on my licence and i was doing 36 in a 30 on a sunday morning at 8am on a very long very wide road with no one about.

Atleast you acknowledge your in the wrong and that it's your fault, most people don't. I got caught doing 45ish in a 30, got pulled, just said to the policeman yep, my fault sorry. Not alot else to do. Definitly will slow you down in the future. On 17th Feb, 2011 apbellamy said:
