Came accross these on the internet - anyboy see/used one before? Look very compact:

Hannibal: There are two ways we can do this: the easy way and the hard way. In a few minutes my friends and I are going to come down on you like your worst nightmare. You're gonna wish the Earth had opened up and swallowed you whole.
bad guy: What's the easy way?
Hannibal: That WAS the easy way.

yup seen them before..., they are quite popular on the VW sceen on VR6s... although AlexB will know more than me on that...

They are basically a belt driven supercharger... so lots of lag at low throttle but high power drain on the engine at high boost!!! I couldn't see the point!

I've never heard of procharger, but laods of people use similar style chargers on their VR6's, like Alex says.

Nowt wrong with belt driven superchargers, they give good linear power, unlike a turbo with the 'boost' coming in late in the revs. I like my G-lader!

g-lader is not a centrifugal ceompressor... its better than that, very efficient!

still belt driven though, which is what i meant by it :)

They're efficient, but only quite low boost :/

G-Laders can explode and are hopeless above about 8psi. I have the design spec in front of me. Belt driven chargers are better than N/A but pretty shite, if you ask me.

Bugger off, I'm getting there.
