Hi all
I have a choice to make tonight and that is to go turbo or not
I have a leaded MG 1275 unit and want to get up to 100bhp for my single seater project.
I know what I am doing with normally aspirated but turbos have never been my thing.
What would I need to change on the engine and box to run a turbo?
I have the option on a metty turbo so what else do I need (costs?)
Cheers
Mark

all that needs to be considered is the CR and that everything is in tip top condition. std stuff will be fine for 100bhp especially if its a lightweight single seater, not so hard on the box.

Hi Iain.
I did see that one but it says you need a metty turbo engine, I already have a none turbo engine so need to know what I would need to change.
cheers

So to lower the compression ratio I would need deeper or shallower dished pistons?

Or a head with bigger chambers.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.
