I'm just testing the megajolt setup in the car for first time and unable to get a spark. A bit stumped, I've gone over the following;

I've checked continuity on all my wiring and made sure everything is going where it should be.

Checked polarity of VR sensor, also tried a brand new sensor (and polarity).

Voltage across the sensor when cranking is 1.8V AC, a little low?

Measured resistance of coil pack, between 1 + 2 and 2 +3, reading approx 350ohm.

PC is talking to the MJ and it's reading atmospheric pressure and updates live if I blow down the pipe, so it looks like the MJ is working, but I'm getting nothing for RPM while cranking.

So it seems that the EDIS is getting a signal from the sensor but it isn't reaching the MJ, does this sound like a faulty EDIS?

could be the edis, It should spark with only the edis unit, so you can ignore the jolt for the moment,

Wintersurfer had this. It was a faulty EDIS in his case.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

Well, got on to trigger-wheels.com and they sent me a module (less connector) for £25 which seemed fairly reasonable. Good correspondence and speedy despatch so I've got something to play with this weekend. Fingers crossed should be sorted now...

Yeah get it running on EDIS before the megajolt, then you know it works. And I don't think megajolt registers the RPM while cranking because it's too slow? Could be wrong on that though.

Turbo parts collector at the moment, almost ready.

Balls. Tried the new EDIS with no result.

Done as you suggested and removed the MJ from the equation and still nothing.

I've double checked all wiring, the only thing I can think is I'm not getting enough out of the crank sensor? Measured it again at 1.8-2.0v AC, while cranking without the plugs in.

Should I see an AC voltage between 12v going into the coil and pins 10 and 11 on the EDIS?

Or an AC on the pip?

Doh. Well it appears the switched 12v I'd used wasn't live in the cranking position, which would explain why everything now works!

Please disregard the fact that I am a dumbass.

In other news, I've got a spare EDIS if anyone needs one! haha
