Not sure if you all do this already...

I was figuring out how to do the turbo oil drain earlier and remembered I had a drain from a Rover 820 turbo on the shelf from another project. I tried it and it fitted perfectly into a space on the gearbox case. A cheap and hassle free way without resorting to copper pipe and solder or rubber hoses.

Lots available for next to nothing in scrapyards.

How high does the oil sit in the box? if it's above that, it might cause a restriction.

I did a quick check with the dip stick, oil level is way below the drain.

In that case, I might have to borrow that idea then.

It's the same drain on all the T series rover turbos as far as I know, so 820, 420, 620.. my Maestro (but that one is in use..) ...and being Rovers you shouldn't struggle to find one in a scrappy..

Hmm, might have to steal that idea myself, saves a lot of messing about!
