A treat for you guys here after I found a copy of Miniworld #1 whilst unpacking (ebay here we come!)

I digress...

I'm sure you know the machine in question? It was built by Stuart Gurr (AKA VMAXSCART) when he was a lot younger than he is now! (wonder if he'll post how old he was at the time?). Incidentally, I was just 15!

Anyway, here is a pic from the feature.

yep i remeber that car it was refered to as the black bomber as i think at the time it was the fastest mini on the earth in a series terms.

21 and I remember it very well.
On the back of that article Stu sent me an engine and all the good bits out to Dubai to have a play around with and to my disappointment turbos hidden behind engines and 47degree ambient heat don't make for a very successful combination. :(

i have that issue , i also HAD a turbo mini at the time .........

Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....

i was 15. and thats the only copy of miniworld that i need!

i was only 9

so many young puppies, me being a diesel freak i was runing a rover sdi with 2.4 turbo diesel

not the indivual cylinder head engine?!?!?!?!

rover sd1 and later on ford scorpio diesels had a very strange itillian diesel lump...

4 cylinders... and 4 heads !!

I liked that VM engine - it was pretty good for a mid-80's design. The 2.5 version had some/all the 'niggles' ironed out of it mind!

It's not such a rare concept either - many commercial/industial diesels use that layout - I know the version the the UK spec Jeep GC also has it (because I know of someone who had 2 heads go within a month of each other!!!) LOL!!!
