theres the nms boost curve wil .not much difference in pick up of boost ,so something, maybe mixture or timing is losing 50 to 60 lbs/ft down in that 4500 to 5000 rpm region and creating that sudden t3 like jump.hmmmm...interesting,did the dyno operator map the ignition and mixture step by step ? We ran out of time and battery to refine the map. The idea was to get it safe and then log and make changes as we use it. We did all the mapping, the RR guy just advised and operated the road.

The thing with SC is that they are very accomodating, so you can ask for the head with whatever valves and chamber size/shape you want. We kept the valve sizes the same as the old 5-porter (33/29).

That is suberb. I am a big fan of 998cc lumps, I had a tuned one in MOT fo years and another mini I built with a 998 Cooper head/LCB/Stage 1 kit thing was great fun. Both bullet proof and would give a boggo 1275cc a run for it's money.
