To be fair ben, that original engine probably was, haha.

Looking back I can see why WGT were a little sceptiacal

Would that have been Pip? I think he has softened in his old age, after seeing a few high rollers in 2009 *hehe!*

Yeh, Pip was a bit sceptical about the K heads too, lol.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

if so, i d say there is something very wrong with the dyno wil .. i cant really think of a cause of such an extreme power drop ,unles the ignition map is way down below 5k , or a launch control of some sort is still active or retarding .

to be a mapping problem there would have to be a v noticeable jump in map values on either fuel or ignition .

are you certain there is no hidden control in the software holding it back .

it really looks like a launch control torque limit is set till 5k .

Thinking about it if the dyno struggled to read below a level I would expect it to jump around rather than just read wrong. That said I do trust the operator and he did say that on lower powered cars he normally runs it just with the inertia of the rollers.

I don't think that there is any doubt that the off boost map for ignition and fuel can be improved. I suspect it is mainly ignition though as we spent no time developing that.

Finally, sat in a hotel in Crewe I have managed to sort the logs out and I am confident that the missing power is caused by fuelling and nothing else.

Considering the rest of the results I'm hopeful that there will be more power in the lower regions (hehe) than the 5 port.

this seems to be a problem on the newer rash of higher power dynoes , thier sensitivity is reduced .
