nice to meet u to brett and yea rich did well would of love to see the other guys face as he was passd by a mini. Beats me how people can still make the effort to go back. Last year was the last year for me. There is just no fun in it anymore, especially if the pit return road is still as beaten up as it usually is. On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

Was nice to meet and catch up with a few people I have never met who came over to say hello, I kept having rubbish starts and bogging-but was wanting to be kind to me thrusts, started at 15.81 @90.55mph and best was 14.53@93.6, I am left mistifed by the shootout run was 14.99 and best terminal of 97.4mph but was beat by a camper van with 3 sec head start who did 18.13@72.81mph,is its best time or first over the line?

Well i popped down to york, was really nice to speak to some of the TM members and pick there brains , unfortunatley as said we didnt win but maybe next year! Would be nice if the spent some monies at york so that the roads were better and had a time sign.

Well-exactly thats what struck me, if I had know that, thats what I would have done, I somehow thought your final run time had to be somewhere near your qualifying time otherwise It would not count.

Your race time has to be within 1/2 sec of qualifier or you break out, so be careful doing that Sprocket Edited by paul wiginton on 24th Apr, 2011. I seriously doubt it! |

the camper and sling shot were aloud because the wer vw powerd and i believe oli it came over the tanoy the the vw times wer wrong and at one point i think tom got an 8sec run also wrong? Done now needs redoing lol |

the thing that got me like colin says with the camper, the fastest 'beetle' was an air cooled flat 4 powered dragster, so if that is a beetle because it has a beetle engine why does a honda vtec powered mini still run as a mini? if everything followed the same rules they would be classed as a civic or something Yes i moved to the darkside |

thats what we were thinking, its crap... we were saying someone should put an a-series in a sligshot dragster... but simply to run the fuel pump then have a mahoosive V8.... technicalitys and all!

On the other hand though, (and this news is of questionable merit) if a beetle engined car can go in the Beetles team, does that mean that "The only Metro van in the world ™" is allowed in the Minis team?

Ye was a good day My best was a 17.2 @75mph with a mildly tuned 1293 N/A just couldnt crack the 16 barrier but was still very happy with my times as they were all around the 17.2 mark. Mine is the A reg White with black arches and black wheels and my mates is the white one which looks very rusty on the outside and non painted flip front on with a c16xe his best was a 15.8 and just kept getting 15.9's all day long. I got my money's worth though I got 12 runs in throughout the day |
