Is there anywhey to tell a A+ gearbox from the rest.

A+ will have a part no on the front DAM3220, pre A+ will be 22G1832 or somthing... On 28th Aug, 2011 Kean said:

Not sure about the numbers Joe has quoted but DAM2886 is the early A+ casing that used the four bolt 3rd motion shaft retainer (generally accepted as weaker) and DAM5626 is the later one with only three bolts for the retainer and increased web thickness in the retainer area (so generally accepted as stronger).
