My 1275cc engine is running 8.2:1 compression,MG N/A cam,GT1752 with MJ and an HIF44.

Presently, as I have just about completed running in, I am running 10psi with a max advance of only 20 degrees.

Thinking of running to 15psi, so how much more advance is safe, pending a RR session ?

I always use 24 as a safe value. Running 17psi on 8.5:1.

I have mine set at 25 degrees and use around 16-17 when needed.

26 degrees here, running a minimum of 15psi and up to 20.

The alloy head allows you to runa bit more CR.

The sprint runs 12psi CR 9.3:1 and max advance on boost 24.

Thanks everyone -looks like I can go up a bit in due course.

I reckon I will have to pull back the advance at lower revs as the GT17 comes on boost so much earlier.

Short road test today (with everyone else glued to the box) and it was still accelerating at 95 indicated,so looking for good things in future.
