just wondering what is the best for cleaning dirt, muck oil grease etc off an engine block and box? thinners, degreaser etc.
Audi s4 b5 - 470bhp & 486ft lbs

Gunk is fantastic, I prefer the brush on version in a tin rather than the aerosol

I like to use carb cleaner for the final grease layer once the gunk has got rid of the seriouse shit.

Gunk or hypa clean other thing I found that worked is overn cleaner for them hard to move bits "Tuning should be a compromise between what is possible and what is necessary"

I use Jizer or Hyperclean just because I hate the stink of Gunk.

Been using liquid dynamo on the motorbike which has been great for removing the gease that gets fung off the chain. Mix about a 1 part dynamo with 10 parts warm water. Spray on , leave 5mins then hose off / wipe off |
