Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

well IMHO it wont make any diffrence at all! ..................... because 2 years ago when petrol was 84pence per litre, its actually the oil per barrel is 15$ less NOW!

than 2 years ago and its nearly £1.40 per liter so............ whats the real cause ????

its quantative easing........... simpley printing money which in turn devalues the currency simple as ................
the NEW WORL ORDER agenda.

in egypt its 15pence a liter and they buy their crude oil on the world market the same as us in the UK and thats it plain and simple, ...................... THE RAT BASTARDS! ITS ALL TAXxxxxxxxxx

Southern Norway.

Fuel in Norway is high too, currently at 1.67 gbp, what's your price at the moment?

well I will be filling the cars up and the jerry cans too, but not because of panic, more to do with being prepaired. I got caught short in 2000 where fuel stations were limiting pump sales to 20 litres, if you could find any that had fuel at all. That blockade or the main part of it, lasted nearly a week and crippled large parts of the UK. If this one lasts at least as long, it will at least cause a similar disruption. But, all subsequent protests and blockades since 2000 were rather pathetic.

Bottom line, if these people are serious, expect it to last at least a week, so, for the sake of filling the car up on friday (since everyone will panic buy on sunday morning) , after all, I brim the tank from empty every time I fill it, so brimming it a bit earlier is no real issue. I don'y pay for fuel as such so its no real bother to me.

Oh and the price of oil per barrel has fallen, not risen, yet everyone that tries to justify the price of fuel says that its the rise in oil prices.

Also, have a look at these at the first graph. Check out the oil production in 1973. Its nearly the same in 2009, then look at the prices.

Now, looking at the second graph, is that creative accountancy or what, all the graph shows is an increase in oil production and an increase in oil prices. Basically, the data has been take out of context to make it look like we are using more oil than we ever have, but looking back at the first graph, you can see a different picture.

it wont drop prices, if they were to reduce the cost of fuel tax they would just increase income tax or vat to compensate. they are hell bent on getting a certain amount of money in from the public and they will get it one way or another.
just glad i voted for neither of them.

exactly its not the price of fuel they want reduced its the tax thats added on that needs reducing. the price of oil is the same all over europe yet other countries tend to pay a lot less for their fuel at the pumps.

the problem is the government know that its their cash cow. i would rather cheaper fuel and stick the tax on alcohol and cigarettes. Fuel is a necessity to keep the country going and us working, booze and fags are not.

Being a bit of a lager fan I'm loathe to agree but like you ZeroT I'd rather booze & fags be dearer if it means fuel would be cheaper.

Brick them up. Its why you see so many old factories with bricked up windows, not because some spotty skinhead youth had stoved them in.

Edit* Did they have skinheads back then *hehe!*

I found an interesting graph showing inflation adjusted fuel prices showing the cost of fuel in real terms. I can't find it now, but it did show that actual fuel prices in real terms, rather than monetary values were pretty consistent.

Metaphorically speaking, how many sweets did you get in a 10p mix in the 1970s compared to 2011? While the monetary value is the same, the tangible value is less

Short of striking oil in your back garden setting up your own refinery were all abit flecked up the arse at the moment on fuel price. Getting to the point were I'm just working to run the car to get me to and from work!! Soon staying at home will save me cash. Can't see the government liking that...

When I bought my car 4 years ago, it cost £60 for a very full tank. Now it's £90.

Still cheaper to drive to work than get the train though.

I remember filling the Mini in 1994 and complaining about paying 57p a litre. That was when a fiver went a long way in fuel *hehe!* I filled the Insignia up the other day and it cost £101

i remember moaning about 81.9p per litre and using a 10er a week,
ive just payed 137.9 per litre and 100 quid doesnt even touch the sides
it will only get worse and i think the answer to the thread is it will go as far as it needs to.. at the end on the day they claim their expenses back so they dont care

one thing i have notice this last 2 weeks, fuel prices are going up and down by as much as 6p in a day
anyone know if there is a reason?
