Todays problem is that I have fired the car up for the first time this year after another semi rebuild and cannot get a rpm signal. At first I thought the connection from the tacho to the megajolt may be loose however having now plugged it in to the computer while running It still will not give a rpm signal, only TPS.

Before I go untaping the loom to check for loose wires is there anything I should be checking for.

All that has changed since last year is replacing the crank sensor with another from a slightly newer ford fiesta, I wonder whether this is creating enough pulse to fire but not giving a proper signal for the rpm. I assume it is running in limp mode as the computer is not picking up the signal.

Any Ideas?

The edis plug wasn't quite clipped in properly, so would run but only on edis rather then megajolt. - panic over:)
