Sorry if i'm posting this in the wrong section but it didn't seem to fit anywhere.

I have come across a set of flat top 998 powermax +.020 pistons. They are brand new, and never fitted. Could anyone give me an idea of what they might be worth. The only ones I can find that are similar are on Somerford Minis website and they list a price of £508 inc Vat.

I know it will not be that high but i'm looking to sell them at some pint but would like to get what they are worth.

cheers.

Are they P20950 and do they come with rings?

Price for a new set of P20950-20 from MS is £170. Mine came with rings.

No, they are NOS, 18516/KR with rings, gudgeon pins and circlips.

I can take pictures and add them if it's going to make it any easier.

The problem is that those pistons have a very limited application.

They were used with the 12g295 head to give a high compression on the 998 Cooper.

Anyone rebuilding a 998 Cooper may be interested. No good for a turbo 998.

so no idea what they are worth if I was to sell them? Or would I be better just building a N/A engine with them.

Yes, I know they are useless for turbo application. All I was asking is if anyone knows a rough idea of what this sort of item goes for. There is a set on Ebay at the mo and the seller wants £400 for them but not sure what interest he is getting in them. If they are not worth that much then I'm going to build something with them.

The part number on the box is 18516/KR,

Will get the one off the piston itself when I get home from work in the morning.

I'd say that they are great for a turbo. Have the "D" milled off and a 295 head. Perfect!!

To be fair they may be of use to someone who is restoring a 998 cooper, its just you may have to sit on them for a while until a buyer who is prepared to pay good money for them turns up.

the part number on the piston crown is m2050/3

Hmm, will probably build a fast road n/a engine out of them then,

My supercharger build seems to have stalled at the moment
