Hi all

just been trying to find the sorure of an oil leak and traced it down to the oil pressure gauge union on the engine block, whilst i was taking it off the pipe leading to the back of the block sheered off and just need to know what i've sheered, i've traced the pipe back to the turbo and have a really horrible suspicion that its the turbo to block oil pipe. As i'm sure it is going to be the turbo oil pipe does anyone know where i can get a new one as mini spares are out of stock permanently by the looks of it. Here's some pics:

Yes it is the turbo oil feed pipe.

Easiest solution is to swap it for a braided equivalent. Available from any decent Turbo Mini supplier, I believe Avonbar can supply.

thats not that bad if you go to a pipe place like pirtek they can make you one

Cheers for the confirmation and supplier info Tom, feel like such a tool for doing it but from the looks of it its the original so could have done with being replaced

To be honest anything like that thats original will never come off after 20 years. Mine didn't!

Those ones leak anyway, so worth swapping it for a decent braided alternative anyway.

really, why, I put it all back together and used some of that exhaust gasket paste, you know the one that seals when it gets hot, that should do the trick, took it for a rag, seemed ok but the engines knocking abit


I really am joking, havent started it or driven it, just ordered the Avonbar kit so will hopefully turn up for the weekend so i can get it back on the road again
