Has anyone ever heard of these guys?

http://www.oselli.com/

I have a head tucked away in the garage that has been modified by them, It is a 12G940 head with "OE 55-20-0" stamped on it.

I emailed Oselli for details on it and they said it has 20cc chambers with 1.312 inlet and 1.156 exhaust valves, 'just one level up from standard' he says.

Yep, heard of them. They've been around forever and had a very good reputation in the 80/90's. No idea on recent performance.

Been around for ages and were well respected. Again I can't comment recently. I know them for modifying A and B series engines.

I got them to tuftride a crank and shot peen some rods in the mid 70s.

They were well known and respected in those days.

do we think the head is likely to be worth anything, or no more than any other standard head, especially to the turbo community as it would still need work regardless of whats already been done.

i guess i should paint it red first, all over the mating faces too, the chambers and ports might look good in blue?

Oselli moved with the times and changed there core business to other engines like so many others that were at the top of A series tuning.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

The guy who runs it Dave Eales is a friend of my dads and is a nice guy. I had a 1293 N/A built by them for road spec that got 85 bhp and was a nice engine.
They can do some nice work but like Sprocket says they do other cars more now and abit behind the times if you want top top spec. But they will build it right.

I think the biggest problem with trading in the Mini market these days is the mass influx of students that want everything in exchange for chocolate buttons and have no real idea what they want in the first instance. I think this was a factor as to why Phil Hepworth jacked in Racespec, though probibly not the deciding factor.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.
