Just bought a non mg 1988 metro 1.3 base model,my haynes book only goes up to 85 any idea what the c/r would be chaps or what dish size pistons??*oh well*

According to my Haynes (goes up to 1990) it will be either 8.0:1 or 9.75:1.

The 8.0:1 engines were ecomony/fleet type things to run on 2 star petrol. Not many of them around.

If you give me the engine code I can see if my book lists it?

Unsure of engine No havent picked it up yet,hoping its a low comp as it's a base model.
Think my head is 27 so it may be turboable for a laugh till the mini is done

Picked car up today,a metro with no rust !gearbox knackerd

Engine number 12he72 so 9.1 cr unleaded
any idea of dish size
