Would a head like this [/url] be good for turbo charging if you enlarged the combustion chambers for the right compression ratio (allready "stage 3"). Works out at about £650 for the head, must be easier to work with being aluminium and for conducting heat?

It's only running the standard 33mm inlet, so depending on your intended power output it may not be the most suitable. They also do a 7 port version at a very similar price, worth a look ! |

My next project will be starting September at best, was wondering if anyone had used one.

7 port isn't that much more but you would need 2 webers or ITB's instead of a hif44 and a custom plenum. |

It's a Pierce manifolds head.

So go for the 7 port or standard head. |

Specialist components do manifold kits for several 7 port heads to allow you to run injection. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

This head will make as much power as a 7 port up to 7000rpm. In fact it will make considerably more with the right manifolds :) Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

I'm really curious to see how close your simulations were and I'm sure you are too.

It's a Pierce manifolds head. Mine was prepared by MED and has 36/30 valves. Ports are huge. Fettled it today ready for fitting tomorrow. Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

Could a little fettling from one of our resident head experts improve the flow of this head significantly Paul or are the ports very close to the jackets as cast? If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

I'm sure that they could make some improvements, not sure whether they would be significant.
