Didn't thunk they put electronic dizzys in the 998 as standard.

You can fit something like this if you just want to do away with the points.

you can get the conversion kits to get rid of the points fron accu spark or something like that bwt 30 40 quid dependant on dizzy type have a look on ebay Done now needs redoing lol |

On my 998, I just fitted the electronic dizzy of my low comp 1275.
Rusty by nature

you can use the mg electronic one, or there is a kit for like £5 its meant for land rovers.
