good evening,

Where and how much have people drilled/cut off the pedal box. I dont want to buy a new pedal box, but want to loose a bit of weight. Can i shave material off the pedals so they are thinner? how thin is the limit? I have seen some areas, on the side of the box, that don't do anything, if i chop these bits off, can i expect to loose any strength?

Any photos would help, if there is any.

in the end, i dont want to brake one time and end up with a pedal box resembling a banana :)

cheers

Wolfy, if you have a roll cage with a dash bar and are not incorporating the mounting of the steering column upon it i would suggest you do so. The reason for this is that you can remove everything backwards of the pedal pivot point.

If you wish to go the whole hog like myself if you floor mount the box you have the added benefit that you can mount it further back and lower in the car.

My driving position will probably end up with the back of my seat 50mm infront of the healboard.
