Right,
Im looking in getting some pistons for the mini and will be running a t3 10-15 psi
(more like 15-17 *wink* )
Low boost for running in

Would have gone for
AE21253 dished out as they seem to be a popular choice

but have recently heard they have recently changed ownership and are now producing less
then desirable pistons?

So back up i guess would be the OMEGA Cast 10cc dish's

Any other ideas?

If i was paying forged money though i would go for the FIS 18cc Omegas
But they are only for 1293's

Would it be worth investing the extra time and money for these?

Or would the casts be suitable?

Other items on the shopping list
Avonbar Phase 2 cam
Straight Cut Drops
X pin diff
Vernier adjustable timing chain
Double valve springs
Roller rockers
Clutch
Intercooler
4 core rad

and after the running in and the boost goes up
Out comes the engine for a
full SCCR box, Megajolt
Debating whether the SCCR is neccessary though

Will be driving about 100 miles a week out of traffic running in
But may do the odd motorway journey after

Get the cast omega's

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

I believe the ausi hypatecs have oil slots rather than holes at anything below 73mm
