it's dated 76 May, so this must be a joke right? Curious to know how they slipped this one by, especially since here in NL they are in fact easing off classic cars; my '75 Jag only needs an MOT every other year for instance, where a later one still needs yearly checking. Pre '60 cars need no MOT at all anymore.

as if? what about the people like myself who use a classic as their daily drive. And tbh i'd rather not the shell out the money for finance on a new car.

Bullshit. We're not technically in the EU anyway are we, given we dont have the Euro or anything? Would it really affect the UK?

it wont happen there are to many people with cars over 20 years old, between me lisa and her dad we have 5!

if you think the fuel protests of sept 2000 brought the country to a standstill i would bet the classic car fraternity and people owning 20 year old + cars will do better

I never believe storys like this until it appears on the news/papers. At the moment its just an article in a mag, so not in the national interest and not law?

The trouble is that i really would not be suprised if the EU do pull a stunt like that in the future, or seriously restrict what can or can't be used on the road.
