While it is possible to turbo charge through twin carbs, its not going to be simple.

I will assume you have twin HS carbs, and as suh, they are not exactly ideal, since the jets could be blown out under boost. Still on the jets, i'm not so sure the little plastic feed pipes from the float bowls will survive under pressure and extreme heat from the exhaust.

There are several other things that need considering with the HS carbs. It will be twice the work to set up correctly, and, nobody makes a needle for a turbo twin HS set up, so you will be starting with a best guess.

Also consider of the 8067 users on this forum, I think I have only ever seen one or two twin carb turbos over the years, and even then, I have not seen any within recent years. So, while its not impossible, it depends on how difficult you want to make your life to save a little money.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Yes you can, and I think one person on here is planning it to keep the period look.

Unless you have a very good reason (such as period look) then it's just hassle. The most tricky think is finding a way to pressurise the float bowl when boosting. Then, of course you need to make a plenum.

Also, I bet a set of twins are worth more than a single HIF44.

That's twin HIF44 turbo carbs though, not SUs.

Nice setup by the way

I'm aware it was a hif setup, but it could be replicated using 38's if someone was inclined to do it on a mini as the MGB used left right hif's

Power delivery was not very progressive, think lightswitch :)

That must have been interesting to drive, from nothing to everything in 1000rpm!

The car spends its life on track, so not much time below 3000rpm. Although slow corner exit could be exciting at times

When the engine finally blew, I replaced it with a forged T16 so the issue went away
