hello everybody,i am trying to remove the radiator on my 93 cooper and having trouble disconnecting the bottom hose,is it possible to do it underneath the car? thanks dobber |

No the subframe is in the way, its tricky, undo the rad so its free to move, push it forward slightly give you more room and just got to give it a wiggle. Audi s4 b5 - 470bhp & 486ft lbs

I found a tool like this very useful
I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Should be able to get the rad out with the bottom hose connected. I always leave em on and with patience you'll be able to wiggle it out past the engine fan blade.
Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

Yeah, undo and remove the hose from the water pump end (and the heater). Then remove the rad with the hose still attached.

I've managed to remove the hose from the radiator end, but with much swearing involved! Getting the hose back on was the hardest part to be honest. Just adding this so you know it can be done, just not with relative ease. |
