I ran 12 months with just kens fan. It struggled to keep cool ESP at speed. I put a two blade on, and left ken to sort the traffic situations out.
I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

my plan is a 2 blade facing a supercool 2 core and a 9inch kenlowe. should be ok. still run the stadnard fan if i was you. i once used no fan on my spi cos it broke and wired the standard aux fan up to get me home and it got super hot. the water pump fan actually does alot on a side mount

Cheers guys, I thought I had read somewhere that the standard fan only works under 30mph? My idea originally was to ditch the standard fan and just run a kenlowe...

I have a kenloe fan but the cars not on the road yet ( hopefully within the next month) my plan is to use it on it's own and if I get problems, just fit the mechanical one aswell. I will let you know how it goes. |

Ducting always makes a positive improvement to any fan setup, the standard water pump fan is ducted to the rad (just about) via the cowling. Sticking some ducting the other side to another fan would help, but dont put the rad too close to the inner wing if you have one, the top bit rubs through and scraps the rad as i found out... :/ On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

After this heat I have decided I will be using both fans. The car is still not ready just yet but I just can't see the electric fan being that much more efficient than the mechanical one that it will be enough on it's own in traffic.
