If turn the key I get nothing from the starter. I do get ignition, if I leave the ignition on and jump the battery post to the starter solenoid the engine turns over and starts fine and runs. I believe the starter relay is one of the two on the top passenger side, I was messing around with the fan relay one (cutting and soldering wires) but have left the starter relay alone, I've even replaced the relays with no luck. When I put the key in the start position the ignition and oil lights go out? Which seems normal but engine doesn't turn over and they come back on when key goes back to ignition?

Another thing is I'm using the power from the original mini clocks for the new dash, it was working before but has stopped, if I run a new 12v feed it fires up fine, maybe the starter circuit and instrument circuit problem related? I've replaced all the glass fuses with new ones?

Any pointers?

Cheers

Forgot to mention it does have a Rover 3AS immobilizer box doo dah, its never given me problems when I've disconnected the battery etc as its deactivated? I've read that you can just unplug it if it has immobilized and the car should start? But I get no luck either way, does anyone know how to bypass it? I don't think its the problem though

Cheers

Okay, case closed. Found the problem, it was the damn immobilizer, I don't have the fob for it so after some searching on google, I cut the plug off the immobilizer and joined two of the wires together and hey presto!
