Im re-building my 1275 turbo engine after i stupidly blew a ring seat on one of the pistons and i am looking at replacing just the one but i cannot identify what they are besides being plus 40 and looks like aluminium :S i was hoping somebody can help the numbers are.
on the crown - x01 1d6
under crown - 413p, 61966, 22357

lol just as i was reading those numbers i noticed a AE mark so i take it that's the make but would still like to know the cc if anybody knows lol

i thought that and i recently brought one but the dish is the wrong size. the ones that i have the dish is quite large. and i didnt notice this untill i went to drop them in so they are all ready on the con rod. and the normal machine shop i use can not dish them out with them on the rod and i dont want to risk taking it off incase it brakes

Yes, it's a service Carl offers. He has proper jigs to ensure they are machined correctly.

full skirt piston would, i think..... be pretty easy to dish on a lathe. you could prob do the ones with the flat either side in a 4 jaw chuck as well.

one day boost will be mine!

Get a syringe and a piece of perspex, drill a hole in the prespex and a small vent hole, stick the perspex over the dish, fill with liquid and note how much was in there. From memory the minispares pistons are 9cc though I'd check that.

Just trying to ID the pistons in my engine too. They have the same number as above but as stated, they have a larger dish. This is a standard looking dish, not additionally machined.

Anyone get any further with ID?
