Bought a top engine steady from minisport, the one that fits onto the thermostat housing and the end nut of the exhaust manifold. Only it doesn't seem to fit.
It will go over the exhaust stud but when flat against the manifold, the holes for the thermostat housing are a good 3-4mm off line.

I spoke to a man at mini-machine about this and he said that they've always been made in this way and said something about rounding the exhaust bolt hole out. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they got around it?

ended up haveing to bend the plate that has the hole in it for the exhaust stud

Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....

Nat-asp exhaust flange is around 1/4" thick. Turbo one is near double that... Hence the hammer mod...
