Having got my intercooler in the post - an RS Turbo one so not massive, i took a quick look behind the grille, and I knew space was tight, but there's literally no room at all!

What with the starter motor, alternator and a shed load of wiring (i'v got megajolt so i'll be losing the distributor) how does everyone fit their intercoolers behind the grille as well as the piping?

Can i cut out the struts behind the grille to get some extra space?

If you have the 2wd cossie one, most fit them behind the bonnet .

Remove dizzy, use a small alternator, use a smaller (Brise etc) starter motor or rotate the standard one. Then grind any excess from the transfer gear case and chop out the vertical strut on the slam panel.

This will give you shit loads of room.

Fit a clubby front, you can have a small beer fridge in the front then too :)

Yeah Eden, i'v seen the 998 before but I'd much prefer to have it sitting behind the grille. Its just looks really messy and un-thought-out otherwise.

Yeah, the room clubby's have is unreal, but im definitely sticking to a round nose. Beer fridge is a tempting addition though

Maybe shit loads is an exaggeration, but there's enough. Granted, my intercooler still fouls the grille a bit, but you'll have no problem with the little RS one.
