if you have made the rod end which goes into the clutch slave cylinder long .....why have you done this ?

it the clutch is correctley bled and the slave cylinder is coming out all the way on one pump of the pedal with a standar length rod, then there no need for you to extend the rod end.............. i suspect that you are running with the clutch slightley enganged compounding your problem with the rod end extended.

@ 107 hp with grey cover it will not slip if set up correctley! ........have you say 1mm ish.. gap on the clutch small bolt arm stop on the clutch cover WOK ?

i hope your thrust bearings are not goosed by the above *frown*

thanks benross, well the plunger and bearing were new about 700 miles ago so it should be ok.

i think im going to have to get a new arm and rod to see if that cures it. will a stock one take the straine or will i need one of these fancey billit ones?

other than that the only old part is the ap plate, as it came with my engine. but i cant see why it would be a problem

cheers eden

I had the same issue with mine. The cover kept bending the ball on the end of the arm. I got the Med arm and haven't any problem since.

looks like the way forwards then. A stock arms never going to last against a grey is it?

i havent had any problems with the standars arms the chepo ones from minispares

get the adjustment correct!!! first if it still slips and the grey cover is new you problem will lie with the clutch plate which my guess has done starship miles .....lol
a standard clutch plate is well up to the job for 130 to 140 bhp for the road reliable with a grey

i hope your thrust bearings are not goosed by extending the cutch plunger for the slave cylinder, .............keep us posted
