I'm in the process of rebuilding a turbo and the kit i'v got comes with a 360 degree thrust bearing as the replacement for the original.

the 360 bearing spreads the load caused by boost pressure better, only really neaded for 15psi ish upwards,

yes i've always found 360 bearing to be very good. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph
