I'd be interested to know the reply.

What Mini you got? MPI or normal (i.e. where is your rad?).
Is it a 2wd Cossie or 4wd?
You using a dizzy or megajolt?

standard carbed 1275 at the moment.

its the same as this (search function was kind tonight) for £13.51 off ebay *happy*

edit its not actually quiet the same as that, its very similar. will post a pic up tomorrow but has a 'box' at one side before the hose.

mine has side radiator, will use dizzy but it'll be a flipfront soon so will need to find a different way to mount it.

It looks like that you woul dhave to drill holes in the bonnet to get that to work.

I am no expert and hopefully someone will be along to confirm or deny. If you have a dizzy fitted and not something like megajolt then it won't fit behind the grill.

I have just bought a MJ kit and looking to fit mine behind the grill, hopefully this will work...

is it the 4x4 one you have? the 2wd one is much smaller, more suited to a mini engine bay, it makes life much easier if you have the right hand end tank cut and re-welded at 90degrees so that the outlet is facing upwards. The above is the only one i have seen without this mod. it does make it tricky to get the bonnet to close, the oulet has to be cut right down and a bead of weld put around the top and the 90degree silicone hose must be cut right down too. sounds like a ballache but really isnt too bad.

yea looks like that one. but if it was a front radaitor then the other end shouldnt need rotating 90 degrees by looks of that pic?

From that picture the end connection is quite a bit different to the (more common) Sierra Cossie item but it's overall size looks pretty similar to the 4X4 Sierra item - probably logical as the Escort used the 4X4 engine.

The big lump on the right hand side is a little water coolant. believe it was so they could homologate it for racing

Why are you all talking about Sierra ICs, he said it was an Escort cossie one.

Why are some of you then, exceptions above. sorry guys.

Personally, from the picture, I'd foget it unless you can cut and shut the end tank to get rid of the water cooler bit.

Matey I got it from said it was taken from his RS escort as he upgraded so I assumed it was an escort IC but suppose there's always chance the escort didn't start out as an RS and was all bolted on by someone

Im sure that is an escort cossie IC, it was slightly different to the sierra cossie one.

I know I have definitely seen one on here before, and there was a similar conversation then about it. lol

It's definately not the Sierra one but - trying to count the rows in the core from the photo - it is very similar in size to the Sierra 4X4.

EDIT - BTW, the third take off (not the water cooler bit) is most likely for the factory recirculating dump valve, It's certainly on that header on the Sierra version.
