i've seen this topic in another post before but i cant remember where, for anyone that knows, is it ok to vent the two breathers to air, and if so, what does the red (or grey) one way valves do and who is it ok not to use it?

don't use it!!

just vent to air.. but make sure your not leaving a vac leak but not plumbing the red thingy in :)
