Anyone have any input into the quality of these compared to AE branded shells?

I see Glyco and AE are all part of Federal Mogul, but these aren't AE shells in a different coloured box. I don't know if I have got the 'poor mans' equivalent, or a better alternative to the AE

This is in a Rover V8 BTW...

I don't think the name means anything anymore what with all the take overs and mergers that have gone on in the industry.

Take for instance the Vandervell VP2. These are now marketed under the Mahle Motorsport brand.

I know that Minispares sell both race and road bearings. I think the race ones were Mahle.
